Rob Kenny
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Kenny family and the entire Golden Wolves organization over the passing of Rob Kenny. The SharpShooters acknowledge and understand that the hockey community has suffered a tremendous loss. Rob was uniquely beloved by all and will be missed. GLACIER SHARPSHOOTERS
2010-2011
The Sharp Shooters' goal this season is to provide an affordable opportunity to all players who want to play competitive hockey. To keep players' interest elevated throughout the season, the club plans to incorporate Glacier's recently added, second rink into its practice schedule. We will provide a setting where players can develop their skills in a fun atmosphere.
*The Midget A, U16 AA and Bantam teams are still looking for additional players as well.
Big Chill
All teams will have an opportunity to participate in a trip to Michigan for the “Big Chill” outdoor game between Michigan and Michigan State on December 11, 2010. Coach Blum (a Michigan Alumnus) has organized a fantastic trip with scrimmages for each team and tickets to this once in a lifetime event to attend as a youth hockey player.

BREAKING NEWS!!!
The Glacier Sharpshooters
announce
John Blum
as
Director of Youth Development
John Blum played 250 games in the NHL with four different teams in the 1980s.
The native of Detroit was a force on the University of Michigan's blueline for four years and was placed on the WCHA second all-star team in 1981. He was signed as a free agent by the Edmonton Oilers but saw action in only a handful of NHL games. A trade to the Boston Bruins in March 1984 gave Blum a chance to play regularly.
He was a regular for two years but was placed on waivers when the club made changes in 1986. He added a physical component to the Washington Capitals' blueline in 1986-87 before he was re-acquired by Boston to provide depth. Blum also played a few games with the Detroit Red Wings in 1988-89 before returning for a third stint in Boston the next season. He then spent five years in the minors before retiring in 1995.
WELCOME ABOARD COACH BLUMMER!!
Midget A
The Sharp Shooters are a few players away from fielding a Midget A team that will be playing in the FAHL Midget division. The Midget A team is open to players with birth years 95, 94, 93, and 92. The Midget team is being designed especially for those high school players looking to enhance their skills for their high school teams or to give those players without a high school team a place to play competitive hockey. The Midget A team will also compete in the SAHOF State tournament at the end of the season.
