USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP)
Summer Camp
Ann Arbor - July, 2007

One of the best parts of playing hockey is that it is a very vigorous form of exercise, which none of us get enough of, for the most part. And, what's really wonderful about playing hockey -- it gives us a reason to work out off the ice.

For some, off-rink conditioning helps us to be much more competitive and have more fun while playing hockey. For others, regular exercise and conditioning is a prerequisite to playing hockey so we “won’t be embarrassed out on the rink.”

Because Physical Conditioning and Fitness are so important to the Present Day Hockey Player, many travel teams at and above the Bantam level provide their players with some sort of "Off-Ice/Dryland" Conditioning Regimen on a regular basis.

Nonetheless, the Player may wish to augment the team's conditioning program with a Personal Conditioning Program. To that end, we will here provide Links and Information to assist the Hockey Player to reach his or her own Personal Fitness Goals.

We encourage Players, Parents and Coaches to contribute to this page with Additional Links and Relevant Information on Conditioning and Fitness for our Hockey Players.
